Lots going on since July (last post)
Posted under by JennHhhmmm…. holy crap… where to start???
AUGUST was a whirlwind with work- prepped for the annual vendor meeting (lots of work to do but overall a success). Hard work always pays off especially for me since I care so much about people and how things need to be addressed and taken care of. Lots of socializing/mingling/dancing with my roommate Lisa. They say people in their 20′s have all the fun. Bullshit!! They don’t know what they want and they are hella stupid (yes, I said hella). Us in our 30′s/40′s know what we want, how to deal with stupid people/drunk people/gropers, how to have fun and how to control ourselves in a public environment or we hope after all these years how to. (haha)!! Got my new 2011 Mustang on August 13th. What an AMAZING vehicle. I love this car! My Mom says that the slogan back from 1965 when she bought her mustang the slogan was “you are never the same in a mustang”. Holy Crap is that saying ever True!!!! As my Dad always said, nothing like a FORD. Go American!
SEPTEMBER included two weekend drives up to South Lake Tahoe for Labor Day Weekend and to Reno for the Rib Cookoff. That was some tasty shit. I can’t remember the name of my first pick but definitely the tastiest of them all. From Kentucky as I believe! Something Q. No, not BBQ, dumbasses! It was really hot and worth the drive from South Lake to Reno for the Rib Cookoff. Later on that month was another visit to Reno this time for my works annual meeting with our prime vendor. That was a load of fun, meeting the faces that I speak to all the time on the phone (daily). Plus meeting new faces. Laughing, gambling (duh, we are in Reno), drinking, mingling, having fun, making fun and more gambling, drinking and fun! Stayed Friday thru Sunday after the meeting was over on Wed and Thursday. Learned how to play Pai Gow (totally fun game and the $$ can be dragged on and on if played correctly/safely) from my friend Paul and met up with my co-worker Karen to play some penny slots.
OCTOBER- Wow, don’t know much to say of October except there are some stupid ass fucking people that don’t know what they are losing until it is lost/dismissed/let go and you can’t get them back even if you beg. Enough said. There is never enough salt to throw over one’s shoulder – whatever you choose to believe. Halloween was super fun. Went to the Blackhawk Halloween Party!! Haven’t been there since 1996/1997. It has definitely changed and all for the better. I think my years of looking dead are finally over. I definitely like to celebrate the dead but I definitely look better being something that doesn’t look dead. Dressed up as a Pirate and I looked really good. Pics to come on my facebook very soon.
NOVEMBER- Lease was up on the first. Had to decide what to do. Will I stay in the current house or move out? Lots to think about. Didn’t want to think about moving, UGH!. Who wants to move, it’s such a pain in the ass. Plus, I have sooooo much shit. Come on!! REALLY!!!!! Need to talk to roommates to figure out what’s on the down lo (yes, I said down low. hahaha). Plus the heater is old skool meaning paying out the ass to heat this house. Plus my room is super cold and I wanna move out so that I can use all my stuff and get rid of my storage unit. Hopefully if I do move, my new place will allow my sofa bed to fit. That would be my worse nightmare if that doesn’t fit (it’s my bed for the past six months) EEEEKKKK. Thanksgiving it was my Mom and I hanging out with her friends in Henderson, NV. It was quaint and the first time in a long time where I actually sat at a table. My family is always served buffet style and hopefully you can find a place to sit down (yes, really). Getting my fam together is fun but super loud and a shitload of food. I love my time with my family but the quaint dinner for turkey day with my Mom in another state was a treat. Glad I was able to spend time with her. It was solemn without my Dad but his memory and livelihood is within us all that grieve his loss.
DECEMBER- just started as it seems but Xmas is right around the corner. Can’t believe it’s already the 18th of December. I have ideas for Xmas shopping but nothing bought yet. At least I have Tues/Wed/Thurs next week to bust it out. I fly to Vegas tomorrow at the buck crack of dawn to hang with my Momma for one day before the both of us drive to Anaheim for Disneyland. 1 day half day pass for a $100 bucks. EEEKKK, need deep pockets for that shit. Really…. $100 and no discounts for half days. Oh well. At least my Momma and i will be able to spend time with my brother and his kids as they enjoy the magic kingdom (should be a treat). I drive my Momma back up to the Bay Area on Tuesday the 21st to where she will be staying and then my cuz will drive me home to Concord. Yes, all my new home is in Concord. Even though I have never lived in Concord, I have a lot of history with family living in that area (Pleasant Hill, Pacheco, Martinez, Concord). I feel more at home in this area than anyplace before. The Mall, DVC, the familiar streets all feel like home (can’t describe it). I look forward to my new place. I just feel bad for uprooting my cat from two familiar places in the past 6 months. She doesn’t have the ability to roam around as much as she wants. I don’t trust the place yet for her to roam freely but there will come a time she will be allowed to go outside again. She yearns to go outside. I hear it in her cries/meows/ and how she looks outside the window. Like a wild animal caged and can’t do shit about it. (poor peanut). As i always say…. patience is a virtue if only she can understand). More to come for December. By the way, weather forecast says that it will rain for another 10 days. Yes, another 10 days. CA needs it but really??? 10 days! Oh well, can’t be too picky.
