This is not a word that I throw around to describe such a nasty female. Well, in my daily life I have a cunt that I have to live with a portion of my day. Instead of thinking to myself that she is a cunt, I call her a “C U Next Tuesday”. People seem to catch my drift when I say that without be blantantly crude.

Why do doctor’s especially Specialists, assume that you know what you’re getting yourself into when you schedule an appointment? Then after that initial appointment, they assume that you know all the medications the other specialists will be injecting into you.Â
So, today, I went to get an MRI done on my brain to test the left and right canals of my ear (equilibrium imbalance) and to test other areas for dizziness, weakness and possibility of blacking out. I walked into that MRI and the Specialist “Paul” starting telling me……. “I assume your doctor mentioned all that would be happening today”. I stated “No”. Paul says “I can’t believe Doctor’s send you in for tests and they don’t inform you”. That is exactly what I was thinking especially after he mentions that I will be getting an injection with a 20 plus letter long word that I don’t even know what it’s called again.
Ugh! I can comprehend a lot of information and I soak up all that random information up like a sponge. Except for the word I can’t remember because I can’t spell it so how can I spell it, let alone pronounce it. Whatever!
All in all, yet another doctor that knew his needle work and got the needle in the first time- woo hoo Whew

I can’t wait to get home and dive into the cherry red, sweet 100 cherry tomatos. Jason and I had picked a handful before we went up to Truckee and I am sure with the 100 degree heat since we have been gone there might be a handful when we get home tonight.Â
The joy of gardening is really a Joy and not just a saying

I am glad I didn’t go to the lake today at Donner Lake. Come on, I don’t really want to go to a beach that is dusty, has no shade and the water is freezing ass cold. That doesn’t sound appealing to me at all. So, I didn’t go and I laid around the house and enjoyed the peace and quiet without all the rug rats running around, screaming at the top of their lungs and not allowing Jason and I to sleep. So, the rest of the fam took the rug rats to the lake and we got to enjoy the silence of the house, the redwoods, the golfers hitting off the par 3 at hole 7 at Northwoods Golf.Â

I chose in a hat. That way I can fall asleep on the drive up. If you are wondering what I am talking about…… I am deciding how to do my hair for the drive up to Truckee. Do I want to put my hair up in a bun or shall I put it in a hat? The hat is the better choice.
During the summer, my husband take’s the top off his jeep and for all the long hot days of summer, our camping trips, trips to Truckee or weekend getaways include riding in this jeep and having my hair blow all over the place. I don’t do well without my A/C anymore. I had a geo tracker in college where the A/C was tempermental and only wanted to work when it wasn’t over 100 degrees outside. So, I drove around A LOT without A/C. I got used to it and then since having a car with A/C, I can’t live without it. UGH!

1. Went to the cardiologist for a “tilt table” exam.
2. Waited an hour past when I was suppose to be seen and laid down on the x ray table and was strapped in at the waist.
3. Had an IV injected - surprisingly the woman was seamless and got the needle in the first time. Plus this nurse was funny and had the same sense of humor as I.
4. One IV consisted of saline
5. Strapped to a table with an IV in one arm and a blood pressure machine hooked up to the other arm. After 15 minutes of lying down, the nurse inverted me to 80%
6. The blood pressure machine was set on an interval every minute (insert fun here)
7. Isoprill (don’t know how to spell) was injected through another hose in my IV. Can I say that I don’t ever want this drug in me again. It brought back the same feeling of wanting to pass out, black out and possibly throw up and immediately closed my eyes. I can feel my pulse steadily increase and I tried not to think about my experience in the ER on 6/28/07.
8. I can hear the heart rate monitor pick up the pace and this is exactly what my cardiologist stated would happen. More tests were ran and I still felt the squeezing for the blood pressure monitor every minute (oh joy).
9. I stated to the cardiologist that I was not feeling well and my breathing was increasing and he then told the nurse to remove the isoprill IV and within 30 seconds the table was back to a horizontal plane.
10. The needle was removed from my arm and I was shocked that my blood didn’t squirt out. A cotton swap was then taped to my arm to form a clot.
11. I started to feel back to normal, 3 one minute intervals of bp and a heart reading was taken while sitting up and then 2 bp and a heart reading while standing up. The nurse unclipped the lines from the ECG and told me to get dressed.
12. Those darn sticky tabs from the ECG are SSSSSOOOOO STICKY! I hate them. They are a lot bigger and more painful to remove then the EKG tabs (tiny).
13. Got dressed, went to the cafeteria to get my free apple and free water. I forgot to mention that I was not suppose to eat anything 4 hours before the exam, which I didn’t or else I WOULD HAVE THROWN UP. My last drop of food was at 9 am and I didn’t get out of the hospital until 3:30 pm. I was jittery and I needed FOOD.
Now all I have left to take is an MRI (Monday 7/30), Stress Test (Tuesday 7/31), EEG (Tuesday 8/7), Echo test (Thursday 8/9) a follow up visit with my Neurologist on 8/22 and a follow up exam with my cardiologist on 8/28 and then I will be done.
Current diagnosis- who the hell knows, I am not a doctor
I am frustrated but I only have a few more tests to do. I can’t wait until the countless loud ticking on Monday

A lot has happened in the month of July that I haven’t had the opporunity to “post” but it’s been a blast……….
The first weekend in July, I visited my parents in Vegas. It was a great opportunity as well to visit with my friend, Szabo. We had a great vegetarian meal at “The Melting Pot”. I am saying vegetarian because it was 3 cheese fondues with super dippers- apples, bread, fresh veggies, all the goodies. Normally, I would have some sort of meat but 3 bowls of ooey gooey cheese was very divine. The flavors were all so different and sooooo satisfying. It turned out to be a 3 hour dinner. The dessert was so good too “Yin Yang”. Mixing dark and white chocolate together with indulgent dippers such as bananas, pineapples, apples, cookies, brownies, yummy stuff.
While in Vegas, I helped my Mom’s urge to get out of the house and we went and shopped, picked up free casino stuff and gambled at the various penny slots. Hanging out with my family was fun. I went solo while Jason stayed at home. I couldn’t believe that I got a $29 each way to Vegas. What a steal, you can’t beat that! So, I left on a Thursday night and arrive back at work on a Monday morning. Plus, I walked away with only losing $80 of my $300. woo hoo
The second weekend of July was my Mom’s side of her family reunion party. Now, I have a large family on my Mom’s side. I was under the impression that I had 28 first cousins and 13 second cousins. Was I wrong! I had 36 first cousins and 19 second cousins and if there is such thing as a 3rd cousin….., then I have 3 of them. These additonal people, I have not met yet. Crazy huh, with all my family gatherings- how could I not have met these wonderful people. Well, the party started off at the park with a BBQ at 12 noon, some games for all to enjoy and then the party moved into my Aunt’s house around 6 pm where the singing, the mingling and more food was served. This time the food was authentic- philipino food- YUMMY! I even took home some leftovers. What is a family get together without leftovers- Gina and Szabo you know what I am talking about (Thanksgiving 2003)! I stayed at this family function well over 13 hours. So much fun!
Now to talk about his past weekend. I coordinated a camping weekend at Stumpy Meadows Campground/Reservoir. There were 14 of us- Juli, Jennifer, Perry, U. George, Shannon, Ron, Eric, Syrus, Dale, Jared, Cassie, Jake, Jason and I. We were spread between 3 campsites right next to each other. Coordinating this gig was not difficult but getting people to respond is always the thorn in my side. That thorn was worth it. The group size was not that big. I had 2 of my closest friends, my husband and some friends I haven’t seen in a long time. The campground is sitting beneath a canopy of redwood trees. The smell of pine is so refreshing, with an elevation of approx 4500 feet, the stars are so bright. It’s a relief to be out of cell phone range and the bright lights and the air is so still without noise pollution of a freeway or a nearby city. The City of Auburn was approx 19 miles away. The only noise was a road nearby that all the Jeeps, Landcruiser and Rubicon like vehicles scurried on throughout the day. The water at the lake was chilly until we all started to swim around. Juli and Jennifer swam across the lake with their rafts, while I floated and swam with my #4 on and got fried. YIKES. Now, I don’t get fried like some people but I did get a red line and I had a mix of the chills or hot flashes. I forgot to reapply and at higher altitudes, I am suppose to use at least a #15. Tonight, Jason rubbed aloe vera on my shoulders- the refrigerated aloe vera felt soothing. I look back and wished I would have re-applied. Doh! There were so many good thoughts to say about this weekend- my new contraption in making ooey gooey sandwhich type sweet goodnesses, hanging out with my friends and playing countless hours of Uno while reading celebrity smut magazines :), and before and after every meal- the topic always turned to Poo of some sort
ha ha! Also, the very tasty surf and turf combined meal with the help of Jason, Jennifer and Juli, warm apple pie for dessert (we ate it while reminiscing about “American Pie” and the warm apple pie scene while trying to keep it clean so my 11 year old cousin didn’t receive too much of an earful. Something about camping always brings the gutter minds out. Last night………. there is nothing better than to experience a somewhat scary movie than to watch it in a tent, in the dark, in the middle of the forest (campground) with other girls that screech during a scary moment then laugh afterwards.
There are some not so good moments too- the vaulted toilets needed changing or freshing up at least once a day, people shouldn’t complain about what they don’t have if they don’t try to apply themselves, the mosquitos in the early morning and ALL DAY, the meat loving yellow jackets that seem to be more bothersome while I am trying to cook, the pot heads that can’t focus or are conspirators that are paranoid, being stranded on the side of the road waiting for Dale to return from University falls- What a fiasco! In the end, would I do this weekend all over again- Hell Yes!
So, there’s my re-cap of the what the month of July had in store for me.

Some people use #30 sun block, some use #45, extremists use #60. Hey, I use a #4. I use #15 for the first time I am out in the sun and every time after that I use the #4. It gives a nice looking tan and I re-apply every 3 hours. It has UV protection and re-applying isn’t a bad thing.Â
So, I didn’t notice a tan yesterday but after letting it sink into my body, I have a nice color today.
I mentioned to my friend Susan yesterday- “tan fat is better than white fat”, she rebuttled with “tan it or tone it”. I guess you had to be there :) Everyone at the pool party yesterday did not have an attractive body, except for the mother of 3. The mother of 3 has an irregular body- she had a great body before she had kids and was a decent petite size 4, after kids, she is a size 0, super skinny- borderline anorexic but she eats anything, everything and has a good appetite. I guess there are people out there that don’t gain weight during pregnancy, and lose it super fast afterwards and lose more than their pre-pregnancy weight-, It’s crazy. That will never happen to me.

Did you know that this is the first year that I did not purchase any safe and sane fireworks? I have strategically purchased fireworks consecutively for the past 14 years to show to my neighbors, my husband and anyone else that wants to witness my love for fire. Yeah, I am safe. Yeah, I have my own lighter, my own fire extinguisher, my own bucket of water for disfussed fireworks.Â
I am saddened this year by the lack of American Spirit in my blood. No fireworks to set off, no fireworks to go watch and no neighborhood get together. I did however go to the Danville Parade with my friends, go to my friend’s house for a BBQ, swim in a pool (which I haven’t done in over 3 years) and watch fireworks from my street through the trees of the local Livermore display.

All my old managers always said that we could “close shop” the day before a big holiday at least by 2:30 pm. Well, I am waitng and I will continue to wait even though all my counter parts have left for the day. I have waited 2 hours past and it’s the end of the day and no green light yet. I will take the plunge and leave now- it’s a little past 4:30 pm. Time to celebrate the 4th.
