I can’t wait to get off work today and hang with my Mom. I saw her last week, but I have been so busy and she has been so busy that we haven’t had the opportunity to hang out. So, my brother dropped her off at my house and she will be staying with us until the 4th of December. Woo hoo:)
For all those people that have their parents living in a 50 mile radius to you, consider yourself lucky.

Here are some motivating factors to really make one jump out of their seat and start cranking the phones……
1. Increase the revenue goal. The revenue goal is already unreachable but lets increase it half a million.
2. Trying to get out in front of customer more? Let’s tie you to the office for another telemarketing day. Telemarketing days are 4 hours a day right now- one day a week but they would rather push for 2 days a week. Thanks for letting us be outside reps.
F@#$*&% JOKE

My cat Peanut has proven this point. Since our kitchen remodel took shape in early October. My cat has been couped up in one of the 3 rooms each day at contractor works on the house. She has her bed, food, water and toilet within reach of whatever room she is residing in. One might ask, what does Peanut do all day….? Reply- SLEEP. Does she do anything else….. Reply- Nope, just SLEEP ALL DAY. The running pet joke this weekend especially since this weekend has been very long. I have been a way from work for 4 days so far (it has been plush- insert smile here). So, the running joke is “WHERE IS PEANUT, WHAT IS SHE DOING? She is SLEEPING. So, whenever I can remember that she is stuck in a room somewhere, I find her and try to wake her up by saying “PEANUT WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO, SLEEP SOME MORE? It’s a funny thing. If she’s not in her bed, she is sun bathing on a warm window sill. CRAZY Cat. This cat manual that I had gotten my hands on is truely and funny and truthful book.

I have enough shit on my plate. I don’t have time to shop. The kitchen is almost done and I started to put things back into it. It’s so exciting. For my friends coming to our Christmas party on the 15th, you will see our exciting, beautiful, awesome new KITCHEN. Woo hoo:)
I didn’t have to battle traffic, unpatient people, I got to relax at home.  I just didn’t care, plus my gift bin is pretty full. I have to see what I have labeled for people in there before I do any further shopping.

Stuffed full of good stuff on Turkey Day. My Cheese, Fruit and cracker spread was a hit. All was eaten except for the herbed and plain goat cheese. The gouda and the hivarti were the first to go of course. Good STUFF!
If my Grandma on my Mom’s side were alive today, she would have celebrated her 95th, b-day. She still thrives within us, we still bring her liveliness to all our family gatherings. We still feel Grandma and Grandpa within each and everyone one of us. Such a strong bond.

It’s the work day before Turkey Day. I am feeling better. Nothing like spending the whole day in bed. It really works wonders.Â
Back at work and I know they will let us go by 2:30 pm. I will see how long I can last. Sleeping off and on throughout the previous day made me fill like a million bucks yesterday especially compared to the day before. Now, with all that sleep I got yesterday, it was difficult to get sleep last night. I am doomed to be extremely tired today. My cold is fading and I am looking forward to not bringing a cold with me tomorrow for Thanksgiving. I might receive a lot of grimaces for bringing a cold to a party.

Being situated next to someone that has been sick for 2.5 weeks has it’s draw backs. Just the slightest bit of my immune system slowing down and I am going to get sick. Let’s pray “I hope I don’t get sick, I hope I don’t get sick, I pray I don’t get sick, I pray I don’t get sick”! Let’s see if that works.
I feel like hell. Nothing like the chills, the aches, the pains, the cold sweats, the clammy hands, doh, I feel it brewing and festering throughout my body. I think it’s too late for the Enchinacea and the Immunity Booster. Well, at least I have over 72 hours of sick time. For the duration of 2007, I have only been sick once. As of tomorrow, I won’t feel bad for calling in sick.

Tri Valley Jugglers met today at San Ramon Park for some juggling. Little did we know that our typical juggling spot had just been watered. There wasn’t enough sun yet to dry the dew on the blades of grass. Our typical spot has a picnic table, next to the street (great advertisement) and super tall fir trees. Well, these super tall fir trees wouldn’t allow any sun to pass through just yet. We moved closer to the skate park and had a little audience of mothers, fathers, kids and families have picnics. There were 4 of us, trying new 3 club tricks, passing and using various props. It was a good turnout. Maybe in 3 weeks, we might be passing with 5 people. Just like my job, it’s all about GROWTH. A word I am sick of hearing.

Since when do I go to bed at 10:15 pm on a Friday night (last night) seem ridicously early?
Since when do I get up at 6:15 am on a Saturday morning seem outrageous?
Since when does attending Home and Garden shows seem extremely fun?
Since when does waiting until early Spring seem to take forever? (this is the time to plant my garden)!
All these things are not bad…..
Going to bed early and getting up early just means more rest of what my body needs anyways.
Going to Home and Garden shows is a luxury once you own a home so you can get ideas of how to make things different.
Planting a Garden is fun because once the produce comes in, it tastes so much better than the grocery store.
that’s a lot of thinking for an early Saturday morning.

My husband has been working like a wild man to make the kitchen makeover more seamless. Well, he has been working non-stop since we started the demo back in late September so our GC can start work the first weekend in October. He has been slaving away installing backer board, bracing the underside of the plywood floor so we can have tile (meaning- crawling around under the dirty house), laying plywood ontop of the cabinets to reinforce where the countertops will be placed, making numerous runs to the dump to get rid of debris, fixing holes, patching up holes, installing a new sliding door, fixing the trim, adding stucco, removing the acoustic from the ceiling, more patching, painting the ceiling, painting the walls, the list goes on and on. Finally, we have a dead weekend where all the work is done on his end and he just needs to wait for the supplies to come in (our lights for the light box), the scribe for the cabinets, and the scribe for the toe kicks of the cabinets so our GC can finish his work before the tile and the countertop people come in two weeks. So, he is debating if he wants to work on anything else that is small or get away from our house and go up to Truckee. Hopefully he does want to take a break and get away from the house for a bit, it will be good for him. Hell, I will be leaving just for the day and sometimes that is all you need to gain sanity from a large project.
